In this episode, we opened the windows—literally and metaphorically—to explore the magic of the air element. Before we were interrupted by a few technical hiccups (how fitting for Mercury retrograde!), we shared personal insights into the significance of air in their spiritual and magical practices. Air showed up as breath, wind, inspiration, communication, and the realm of the mind. We touched on how to navigate and work with air energy during Mercury retrograde, when communication tends to go haywire and clarity feels like it’s floating just out of reach.

The conversation unfolded naturally from there. We described how we connect with air using incense, wind chimes, bells, and even our own voices through singing and prayer. We reflected on how air energy can uplift, inspire, and expand—but also how it can feel scattered or ungrounded. Feeling “too airy” is something to be aware of, with symptoms like overthinking, anxiety, and indecision taking center stage.

To find balance, try grounding practices like breath work, which can gently guide excess air energy back into harmony with the other elements. Breath is a bridge—not just between the inner and outer worlds, but also between stillness and movement, chaos and calm.

We also touched on myth and story. Names like Jupiter and Thor came up as sky gods with air connections. Tegan mentioned oral storytelling as a sacred way air carries memory and culture, with traditions like Welsh bardic tales aligning beautifully with this element. Calling the quarters in ritual was also mentioned as a familiar and powerful way air is invoked in magical circles.

As we wrapped up, we reflected on the wisdom air brings—its connection to truth, travel, and the unseen forces that move through and around us. The episode closes with a shared commitment to keep exploring, with fire as our next elemental focus.

If you’re feeling scattered, disconnected, or caught in a swirl of thoughts, this conversation offers both companionship and practical insight. Let it remind you to breathe, to speak with intention, and to find your way back to center—one exhale at a time.

Listen in and let the air stir something in you. And don’t forget: fire’s coming next.
